A four-year-old boy from the US was rescued Tuesday night after first responders worked hours to chisel him out of an 20-centimetre wide water well in Texas. Through prayers and actions from everyone involved a little boy lives today, said Starr County Sheriff Rene Orta Fuentes in a post on social media Wednesday.
Authorities responded to an emergency in Garceño around 4:40 pm. Tuesday for a child who fell down a water well at a ranch property, according to the Starr County Sheriff s Office.

First responders worked for hours to chisel the boy, 4, out of the 8-inch wide water well at a property in Garceño.
Authorities were first alerted to the incident at 4.40pm on Tuesday afternoon. The boy was lodged at between 8 and 9 feet underground.
Members of the sheriff s office, La Rosita Fire Department, Roma Fire Department, Mission Fire Department and the Starr County Memorial Hospital Emergency Services all participated in the operation.

Garceno, Texas A 4-year-old boy was rescued from a 44-foot well here early Wednesday morning, reports CBS Brownsville, Texas affiliate KVUE-TV. He fell in while walking with his parents, the station says. What was key in the successful outcome of this … was that everybody pitched in everybody, said assistant Mission Fire Chief Robert Alvarez, noting that four departments raced to the scene.
