New polling also reveals that 25% of investors would have been made millionaires if they’d traded their assets for bitcoin in 2020 Nearly one-third (30 per cent) of investors will not invest in cryptocurrency because they feel they have ‘missed the boat’, according to a major new research study prepared by the Parliament Street think tank. The new report, entitled ‘The Great Cryptocurrency Report’ includes polling of 2,000 UK savers by independent survey company Censuswide about their investment plans and habits for 2021. Despite this, 31 per cent of investors admitted that they expect the price of Bitcoin to hit a £50,000 valuation this year – which would be an increase of nearly 40 per cent compared to what it is now (approximately £35,000 at the time of writing).
Bitcoin’s recent bull run is causing more individual investors to consider buying it – yet many also feel they’ve “missed the boat” due to the cyptocurrency’s huge increase in valuation.
