Seven-year-old rider completes nearly 800,000 steps in February to raise £10,000

Hattie raises £10k for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity

WHEN Berkeley seven-year-old Hattie Rowe set herself the unrelenting challenge of reaching 750,000 steps across February all in aid of Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC), she could never have anticipated the result. In just a few weeks, and a lot of walking, running, cycling and horse riding later, Hattie had smashed her step count, reaching her total a day and a half early with 41,000 steps in one day. Her step count wasn’t the only thing Hattie exceeded. Having originally set herself the target of £500 for her local air ambulance charity, Hattie’s JustGiving page exceeded an incredible £10,000 on Sunday, which was the final day of her challenge.
