Results: Reliance Infra net loss narrows to Rs 47 crore in January-March quarter Reliance Infrastructure Ltd on Friday reported narrowing of consolidated net loss at Rs 46.53 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. The company had reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 153.84 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE. The company s consolidated income during the January-March quarter increased to Rs 4,610.72 crore over Rs 4,012.87 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said. The company further said that COVID-19 continues to spread across the globe and India and it has impacted business by way of interruption in construction activities, operations of metros, toll collections, supply chain disruption, unavailability of personnel and closure/lockdown of various facilities, among others.

Utilties stocks edge higher

Utilties stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Utilities index increasing 38.39 points or 1.57% at 2477.92 at 09:49 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Utilities index, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (up 5.31%), Reliance Power Ltd (up 4.93%),Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd (up 4.79%),Adani Transmission Ltd (up 3.8%),PTC India Ltd (up 3.72%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Mahanagar Gas Ltd (up 3.19%), Va Tech Wabag Ltd (up 2.33%), GE T&D India Ltd (up 2.08%), BF Utilities Ltd (up 1.6%), and Indraprastha Gas Ltd (up 1.46%). On the other hand, Indian Energy Exchange Ltd (down 0.71%), turned lower. At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 141.09 or 0.28% at 50792.99.

HDFC offloads81 05 lakh pledged shares of RInfra - The Hindu BusinessLine

May 25, 2021 Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) Ltd has sold 81.05 lakh shares or 3.08 per cent stake of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. The shares were acquired on account of invocation of pledge through Axis Trustee Services, HDFC said on Tuesday. HDFC has raised ₹43.91 crore through the stake sale. The shares have been sold between May 18 and May 24 in the secondary market, HDFC said. Earlier this month, the lender had sold 52.88 lakh shares or 2.01 per cent stake of Reliance Infrastructure for ₹22.86 crore. Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Infrastructure is involved in developing projects in several high growth sectors such as power, roads, metro rail, and defence.

Utilties stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Utilities index rising 28.36 points or 1.19% at 2409.87 at 09:49 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Utilities index, Adani Power Ltd (up 4.96%), NLC India Ltd (up 4.9%),Adani Transmission Ltd (up 4.37%),Reliance Power Ltd (up 4.18%),Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (up 2.03%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Gujarat Industries Power Co Ltd (up 1.84%), JSW Energy Ltd (up 1.38%), Indraprastha Gas Ltd (up 1.37%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (up 1.16%), and Tata Power Company Ltd (up 1.09%). On the other hand, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (down 1.6%), PTC India Ltd (down 1.44%), and BF Utilities Ltd (down 1.14%) moved lower.
