Oil and Gas stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index rising 209.63 points or 1.27% at 16681.94 at 09:49 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (up 2.86%), Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (up 2.68%),Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 1.8%),Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (up 1.24%),Reliance Industries Ltd (up 1.2%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Petronet LNG Ltd (up 0.81%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 0.76%), Castrol India Ltd (up 0.67%), and GAIL (India) Ltd (up 0.63%). On the other hand, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 0.41%), moved lower.
At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 210.14 or 0.4% at 52147.58.

Indian shares erased early gains to trade flat on Tuesday as gains from energy stocks and declining daily cases of COVID-19 were offset by data that showed factory activity growth slowed significantly last month.
