The upcoming two weeks are very important in our battle against the novel coronavirus, Prime Minister Imran Khan said.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony of a low-cost housing scheme in Lahore, the premier said that Pakistan was blessed in the first two Covid-19 waves but the third wave of the virus has proven to be deadly.
“If the government hadn’t increased oxygen capacities at hospital, the country would have seen a fate similar to that in India,” he said and urged people to wear masks no matter what.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain and Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib on Monday called on Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Lt. Gen. (retd) Anwar Ali Haider.
During the meeting, issues relating to the inclusion of journalists in the prime minister’s initiated Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme were discussed.
Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that the welfare of journalists and media workers was top priority of the government.

The PTI-led government must be given credit for launching the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme which is aimed at strengthening the economically weaker segment of society. This scheme gives opportunity to people to buy homes at affordable prices. It will boost the country’s economy since millions of houses will be constructed under this scheme. The government has also established the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPDHA) which will build five million homes across the country. It has also introduced a markup subsidy scheme. Potential homebuyers will obtain loans from commercial and Islamic banks and other financial institutions to purchase a home.
