‘Legislative process to boost housing sector finalised’
Minister says all stakeholders on board for policymaking

Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mahamood ur Rasheed has revealed that the legislative process has been finalised to promote the housing sector on modern lines in the province.
Presiding over a meeting of Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) on Thursday, the minister added that approval for Private Housing Schemes Rules 2020 and joint-ventures rules by the provincial cabinet will ensure speedy development of the housing sector along with the provision of necessary relief to builders and developers.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the nation is paying the price for two concessional NROs given to the “corrupt rulers” by former president retired Gen Pervez Musharraf.
“The difficult economic situation we are facing is because of the two NROs given by Gen Musharraf,” said PM Khan while taking calls from the public in a 90-minute TV programme, Your Prime Minister With You, on Monday.
He assured the nation that he would not disappoint them as the programme (of progress and development) he had introduced would never fail.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday assured citizens that Pakistan was on its way to becoming a great nation , saying that every area in the country had a special quality that could be developed to its advantage.
The premier made these remarks while answering the public s questions via telephone, in the first such session since he assumed office in 2018.
The first caller, a person from Sahiwal, asked Prime Minister Imran about the government s strategy to vaccinate the population against Covid-19. Outlining the government s plan, the premier said that in the first phase, frontline health workers, especially those treating coronavirus patients would be vaccinated.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has stayed work on the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project till the approval of its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, besides asking the government to file compliance report with regard to meeting environmental standards in the Naya Pakistan Housing Project (NPHP).
Justice Shahid Karim in a verdict released on Saturday about the Dec 31 hearing of multiple petitions involving different environmental issues said since the process for the grant of EIA of the urban development project was under way, it was directed that no work should be commenced at the site by [Ravi Urban Development Authority (Ruda)] until the approvals were granted by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD).
