Cali Basten and Caitlyn VanBoxel have joined H.J. Martin and Son as the two newest interior designers at the Green Bay location. Both designers previously worked as Sales and Design Consultants for Tile and Stone Gallery in De Pere.
Basten has four years of experience working in hard surface flooring and design. When working with customers, Basten knows the ins and outs of building and redesigning a home. She believes in using the client’s vision to help them create a home that is both beautiful and functional. She enjoys getting to know her clients and how they live, as these details help her suggest the perfect flooring to fit their lifestyle. Seeking out the latest trends and innovative products in flooring design is another aspect Basten enjoys sharing with her clients.

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. The frozen field just north of Green Bay may not look like it now, but it’s wetland.
That’s what it will remain thanks to the work of Ben LaCount and his business partners with Evergreen Consultants, a business specializing in wetland delineation and environmental assessments.
LaCount is an Army veteran who traded his tools surveying artillery emplacements about 20 years ago for civilian surveying, and eventually, environmental work.
“I love my job. It’s helping people, so that’s the satisfaction I get,” he said about his career. “If somebody comes to you, it’s typically going to be a problem they need assistance determining, ’What can I do on this property?’ So we help them through that whole process.”

Shane and Jennifer Sauer of Waterloo, Wis., were selected as the Wisconsin 2021 Outstanding Young Farmers during the 67th annual OYF awards weekend, held Jan. 22-23 in Neenah, Wis.
