Most of these players are from farmer families of Punjab and Haryana and they had converged at the site to express solidarity with the protesters. A total of 12 teams participated in the tournament, which started around 11 a.m. The first match was organised between Sonipat and Fazilka and a team from Jind district in Haryana won the tournament.
