Clifton Cliff Davis made his last wildly inappropriate and probably sarcastic comment on Dec. 31, 2020.
Cliff was born and immediately dubbed my favorite child to Louise Davis in July 1952. Her constant love, support and caring far exceeded anything he could have imagined.
He is survived by his much older brother Mike Davis of (whythehelldoyoustilllivethere) Fresno, CA and his slightly older sister Chris Moffatt of Fairbanks, Alaska. A variety of nieces and nephews complete the list of those left to embellish his memory.
Cliffs employment history was highlighted with 29 years at Ermilios in Eureka Springs, AR. He had two basic philosophies regarding work careers are for the unimaginative and surround yourself with great people and stay out of their way.
Teachers in the Eureka Springs School District will have extra time every week to help virtual learning students until the end of the school year.
On Dec. 14, the Eureka Springs School Board voted to approve early dismissal every Wednesday until the end of the 2020-21 school year. Superintendent Bryan Pruitt explained that teachers requested extra time on Wednesday to work with virtual learning students, saying students who learn on-site would be dismissed at 1:45 p.m. every Wednesday.
That way, our teachers will be online by 2 p.m. and theyll have an hour and a half to work with our virtual students through Zoom, phone calls or email, Pruitt said. Well do that for the spring semester only. I recommend we pass that.

The Good Shepherd Humane Society Thrift Store in Eureka Springs has temporarily changed the days its open to the public, but the Berryville store is still open Tuesday through Saturday and accepting new volunteers.
Thrift store manager Janet Chupp said the Eureka Springs store is temporarily closing on Wednesday and Thursday, staying open Friday through Saturday. Thats because of the resurgence of COVID-19, Chupp said. Cole Wakefield, director of animal services, said most of the volunteers in Eureka Springs are elderly, putting them at high risk if they contract the virus.
