The Ministry of Railways has decided to replace the rake of Agartala - Anand Vihar Terminal Special Rajdhani Express with Tejas Sleeper coaches with upgraded facilities. This Tejas service which starts from 15 February will offer better connectivity with National Capital.
Provided with smart features, the coaches of this New Sleeper Type Tejas Train will offer best in class travel experience, said the Ministry of Railways in a statement.

New Delhi, Feb 12 : With a focus on improving passenger comfort, the Indian Railways Railways has decided to replace the existing rakes of Rajdhani Express with the Tejas sleeper type rakes, with a plan to introduce 500 more such rakes.
The Railway Ministry said in a statement said that the Agartala-Anand Vihar Terminal Rajdhani Special train will run with special Tejas type sleeper coaches from February 15, with upgraded facilities.
The ministry said that it will offer better connectivity with the national capital and the train will be provided with smart features, adding that the coaches of this new sleeper type Tejas train will offer best in class travel experience.

These rakes would be made at three production units of railways â 24 at the ICF in Chennai, 10 at Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala and the remaining 10 at Modern Coach Factory in Raebareli, as per the contract.
After 22 months of launching Vande Bharat Express for Katra, Indian Railways has awarded the prestigious contract for manufacturing of 44 more such trains at an estimated cost of Rs 2,211 crore.
In what could be described as a major push to the Make in India initiative, the Hyderabad-based Medha Servo Drives bagged the contract for making 44 Vande Bharat trains with 16 coaches each.
