Who Advanced In The Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament First Semi-Final Match? (Photos, Video)
This week, the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament continued with their first semi-final match. It was Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz taking on Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary.
The match was calm pace in the beginning until the two-time Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee came down and attacked Rosemary. Distracted by what happened to her partner, Taya walked right into a superkick, followed by a swinging neckbreaker from Kiera. Kiera got the pinfall victory, and she and Tasha will advance to the finals of the tournament.
Final Resolution! We kick things off with an “Old School Rules” match!
Old School Rules: Tommy Dreamer vs. Larry D
A little trash talk leads to a lockup as the match begins. Both men shove each other before Larry D takes the lead with a shoulder tackle. Both men roll out of the ring. Tommy Dreamer smacks Larry D with an uppercut. He grabs a baking sheet and hits Larry D in the head with it before busting out a water bottle and throwing it in Larry’s direction. Larry D puts on the breaks and sends Dreamer face-first into the ring post. Next, he dumps a big cardboard box on top of Dreamer’s neck. Larry D finds himself in a whirl of trouble following a punch that accidentally goes through a trash can lid. Both men make their way back into the ring. Larry D knocks Dreamer off of his feet with another baking sheet to the head. Larry D gets a near-fall count.
The Knockouts Tag Team Title tournament will resume on Tuesday s Impact as Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz will face Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary in the first semifinal match.
Hogan and Steelz advanced with a win over the debuting Sea Stars (Delmi Exo and Ashley Vox) while Valkyrie and Rosemary upset Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee on this past week s Impact to advance.
The winner will face the winner of Jordynne Grace and Jazz vs. Havok and Nevaeh with the finals set for their January Hard To Kill pay-per-view on January 16th. The new champions will be the first team to hold the belts since they were deactivated in 2013.
