Nacogdoches Man Charged with Solicitation of a Minor
According to a release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff s Office (NCSO), a 44-year-old Nacogdoches man was arrested Thursday afternoon for two counts of online solicitation of a minor after a joint operation by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, Nacogdoches Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that an investigator with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office that is assigned to sexual assault investigations and has specialized training with internet crimes against children conducted the investigation that led to the arrest.
Two Men Arrested After High Speed Chase in Nacogdoches County
According to a release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff s Department, two men were arrested Thursday afternoon after leading law enforcement officials on a high speed chase that started in the city of Nacogdoches.
A deputy with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a small black pickup truck for a traffic violation at Loop 224 and University Drive. The vehicle refused to stop and continued down University to E. Austin Street. Many law enforcement agencies joined the pursuit in an attempt to stop the vehicle. The Nacogdoches Police Department blocked all traffic at intersections to help keep the public safe.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriffâs Office deputies arrested two East Texas men after a high-speed chase that started on the Nacogdoches loop and wound up in Rusk County.
During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle reached speeds of more than 100 mph.
William Joseph Hughes, 19, of Nacogdoches, and Armando Perez Reyes, 44, of Lufkin, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. No bond amounts have been set for any of their charges.

During the pursuit, attempts were made to stop the vehicle and spike strips were deployed. However, the suspect was able to avoid the spike strips.

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas The body of a woman that was reported missing in Nacogdoches was found Thursday after dying in an apparent car crash.
Jacquelin Patricio-Vazquez, 38, was reported missing by family members to the Nacogdoches Police Department on Dec. 1.
The Nacogdoches Police Department conducted a search using a drone at the Pine Creek Lodge after learning of the victim s possible last whereabouts.
The search revealed what appeared to be a possible vehicle submerged in the pond a short distance from the bank.
The Nacogdoches Fire Department dive team along with investigators from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) responded to the scene. After confirmation by divers there was a vehicle in the pond, the vehicle was removed.
