The division bench of Justices ZA Haq and Amit Borkar passed the orders in a suo-motu PIL, which it had taken up in 2020, soon after the coronavirus outbreak. The court has directed the Collector to have a centralized portal for information on the drug s availability and its procurement. Based on the court s suggestion, the State has decided to set up an oxygen plant in the city.

A Division Bench of Justices Z.A. Haq and Amit Borkar was hearing a criminal petition filed by Gawli, 68, against an order passed on March 3, by Divisional Commissioner of Nagpur division. The Commissioner rejected Gawli’s plea for grant of parole on the basis of an adverse police report in view of the Prisons (Bombay Furlough and Parole) Rules.
