The Knox County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that undercover investigations yielded 22 meth trafficking arrests across the county.
48-year-old Doug Asher, 40-year-old James Baker, 41-year-old Julia D. Brock, 29-year-old Dean Clark, 42-year-old Crystal Edwards, 30-year-old Jeremy Hubbard, 27-year-old Jimmy Lunsford, 33-year-old Chris Mason, 34-year-old Bo McVey, 30-year-old Jennifer K. Mills, 52-year-old Tony L. Moore, 40-year-old Brian Osborne, 53-year-old Shelly M. Rose, 41-year-old Michael Sproles, and 27-year-old Derrick Woolum were all charged with meth trafficking as a result of the investigations.
Additionally, 42-year-old Jackie Smith from Mooresville, North Carolina was charged with possession of meth, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence and fourth-degree assault. 38-year-old Jennifer Downer and 27-year-old Ashley Crawford were also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office made 21 arrests as part of Operation Winter Frost on Friday.
The arrests were the result of undercover drug investigations conducted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The individuals arrested were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
During the operation, deputies located and seized quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, Suboxone, oxycodone, marijuana, various prescription medications and over $20,000 in cash, according to a Knox County Sheriff’s Office press release.
“These arrests are part of Sheriff Mike Smith’s continued crackdown on illegal drug trafficking in Knox County,” stated the press release.
Operation UNITE and DEA assisted in the investigation.

Knox County prosecutor Kevin Allen suggested perhaps in a year.
Given the chance to speak in the courtroom, in which members of the Munday family sat as well as his own family, Brooks apologized and said he thought of the victim every day.
He and the victim were friends. I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart, Brooks said.
Defense attorney T. Scott Jones elected not to appeal the decision at a hearing on December 10.
Jones asked Judge Green to review the case in 60 days and to allow Brooks to serve the remainder of his time at the Knox County Detention Facility.
