KNOXVILLE, Tenn Jason and Danielle Lawrentz had their pick of buyers when they decided to sell their Colorado home last fall and move across the country. It was head-swimmingly fast. We found ourselves with our house sold and wondering where we re going to live at this point, Jason said.
The couple rented an apartment in Knoxville and began their search around Thanksgiving.
They spent months visiting houses, sometimes left with just hours to make an offer. You had to be prepared to say, This is the one, Danielle said.

Food City is planning to hire over 1,000 friendly, smiling faces to work at their Distribution Center and in key customer and food service positions at store locations throughout their operation area. The positions include, both entry-level positions and experienced, skilled positions, such as meat cutter, cake decorator, and retail management, as well as various warehousing/distribution positions.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn The housing market is booming in Knoxville as businesses expand and more people move to the area.

Researchers said home prices are likely to remain high and rising throughout 2021 but not as quickly as the previous year. Money is cheap to borrow right now so demand is up, supply is way low and you have this weird connection between those two that has really sparked a booming housing market in a recession which is very atypical, KAAR Governmental Affairs & Policy Director Hancen Sale said.

(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) May 26, 2021 – Comcast today announced the launch of 13 new Xfinity WiFi-connected “Lift Zones” in greater Knoxville to support low-income students, families and others impacted by the global pandemic.
Lift Zones provide robust Wi-Fi hotspots in safe community spaces, allowing students to get online, participate in distance learning and do their homework. The sites also serve adults, connecting them to online education, job searches, healthcare information and public assistance. The initiative provides free internet connectivity inside community centers and access to hundreds of hours of content.
