After several months meeting online, they look forward to a time when they can meet in person. The book club is the brain child of Sedruola “Sedie” Maruska. “I know that Black authors are often overlooked but have a lot to share about the Black experience, whether it’s fiction or nonfiction,” she said. “I also wanted to read more Black literature and have a place to discuss it.
