Newark man, 32, charged and remanded over alleged shop thefts from Aldi, Asda, Waitrose and The Range

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a series of alleged shop thefts in Newark.
Daniel Richens, 32, of Portland Street, Newark, is charged with four counts of theft, one count of burglary and one count of common assault.
The charges follow reported thefts of items from Aldi, Asda, Waitrose and The Range stores which happened between September 22, 2020 and December 19, 2020.

The burglary charge relates to a report of a break-in at the Yvonne With Love shop in Cartergate on November 30, 2020.
