Chicago troubadour Mark Dvorak to perform at Hudson Music in the Park

From Staff Reports HUDSON Chicago singer-songwriter, storyteller and banjo player Mark Dvorak will perform next week at Celebrate Hudson Music in the Park. The performance is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June, 17, at Webster Park. “Live music will be back in the park this summer,” Dave Sheely, director of the Music in the Park Series, said in a news release. “We had Mark scheduled last summer, but of course we had to shut everything down due to the pandemic. We’re thrilled Mark is able to join us. He is a masterful musician and a Midwest treasure.” Dvorak has received awards for journalism and children’s music, including the FARM Lantern Bearer Award from Folk Alliance International in 2013 and the Woodstock Folk Festival Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. He has traveled to 38 states and parts of Europe and Canada for performances and was named “Chicago’s official troubadour” by Rich Warren, “The Midnight Special” radio host, in 2012.
