A major position remains unsettled on Eagles’ coaching staff: Who will replace Duce Staley under Nick Sirianni? (UPDATE) Updated Feb 01, 2021; Facebook Share Sign up for Eagles Extra: 2020 incumbent: Duce Staley (now Detroit Lions RBs coach) The Staley void will need to be filled on the staff and in the locker room. It’s a big hire because of what Staley brought to the team for over a decade. Sirianni can’t just replace Staley with anyone, as he needs to have the next coach expand and improve Miles Sanders’ game. Sanders is entering the all-important third season, and if the Eagles want to make him a true three-down back, they’ll need to fix the mistakes he made last season. Also, look for the Eagles to add to this group in the draft and bring back Boston Scott to fill out the depth chart.
