BRAZOS COUNTY â There always needs to be a first, someone to pave the way for others to follow.
Marva Bailey was one of those trailblazers, pictured clearly as she stands with her soccer team in the A&M Consolidated High School s 1999 yearbook as the team s only Black member. I would have never imagined that I would be a piece of history like that, but here I am, Marva Bailey, class of 1999, A&M Consolidated High School said.
Bailey was the high school s first African American female soccer player, blazing the soccer field from 1995 to 1999. Bailey had the following sentiments to share, confirming with 25 News if she was shocked at the time of her trailblazing.

COLLEGE STATION, TX â Que the music, because it s time for celebration, here, in College Station!
A&M Consolidated High School, and College Station High School, has had 10 of their student musicians, selected, to perform with Texas Music Educators Association s (TMEA) All-State Band, Choir or Orchestra.
Said students include, Jack Montgomery, Noah Zhou, and Anderson Kurk; this will be Kurk s second recognition in a row from the organization.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas As College Station ISD approaches winter break, district leaders are looking back at the last semester. Superintendent Mike Martindale said students and staff did what needed to be accomplished when it comes to handling COVID-19 in the district.
The College Station ISD Board of Trustees met to discuss various items for the agenda Tuesday. At the meeting, Martindale gave his superintendent update which included current data of COVID-19 in the district.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas College Station High School will have a new principal roaming the halls come January. Justin Grimes is the person College Station ISD Superintendent Mike Martindale will recommend to the CSHS Board of Trustees to be named as principal.
Grimes is currently serving as principal at College View High School. He has been in that role for the last two and a half years. Grimes will replace current CSHS principal Tiffany Parkerson, who was named as Executive Director of Secondary Education for CSISD earlier this year.
Grimes is a 96 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2001. He also has a Masters of Education Administration from Sam Houston State University.
