The Limestone District School Board has recently elected three student trustees for 2021-2022 school year.
The Trustee positions allow students in grades 11 and 12 to insight into student programs.
Grade 11 students Breanna Roy from Napanee District Secondary School, Tanesha Duncan from LCVI and Shana Johnson from North Addington Education Centre were elected.
School Board officials say this year saw the largest and most diverse group as a total of nine candidates submitted applications.

KINGSTON The three student trustees for the 2021-22 school year were announced at the a general meeting of the Limestone District School Board on April 27.
Tanesha Duncan, currently in Grade 11 at Loyalist Collegiate, will be the urban trustee; Shana Johnson, currently in Grade 11 at North Addington Education Centre, will be the rural trustee; and Breanna Roy, currently in Grade 11 at Napanee District Secondary School, will be the Indigenous student trustee.
