One man dead, three other people taken to hospital after shooting in Weymouth

Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Weymouth during what appeared to be some type of party.
Multiple calls reporting gunfire came in just before 3 a.m. Sunday to Weymouth police, according to David Traub, spokesman for the Norfolk District Attorney’s office.
Officers responded to the Mastlight apartment complex in Union Point on Patriot Parkway and discovered an adult male in the parking lot who had been shot.
The man died from his injuries. Two other people were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and a third person was taken to the hospital after some type of medical incident, Traub said.
DEDHAM A Worcester man pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Norfolk County Superior Court to charges related to a fatal shooting last fall in Franklin.
Marcus Thibodeau, 26, of Worcester, pleaded not guilty to carrying a dangerous weapon; possession of ammunition without a license; and two counts of alleging witness intimidation during his arraignment Wednesday morning.
DeAndre Akeem Scott, a 2012 Franklin High graduate who was most recently living in Attleboro, was fatally shot in the early hours of Oct. 29 at an Elmwood Road home where the mother of his child now Thibodeau s girlfriend lives.
Thibodeau was released on $1,000 cash bail and ordered to have no contact with either witnesses in the case or Scott’s family, other than his girlfriend, Michaella Taddeo.
Worcester man faces charges linked to Franklin fatal shooting
A Worcester man has been indicted on charges linked to the Oct. 29 shooting death of a 26-year-old Attleboro man in Franklin.
Marcus Thibodeau, 26, was indicted on Dec. 23 on the following charges: carrying a gun; possession of ammunition; and two counts of misleading police, according to a press release from the Norfolk District Attorney s Office.
He will be arraigned Tuesday in Norfolk County Superior Court.
DeAndre Akeem Scott, an Attleboro resident who formerly lived in Franklin, was fatally shot in the chest just after midnight on Oct. 29 in Franklin, authorities said.
In the DA s press release, prosecutors say that at about 12:42 a.m., Franklin police received a 911 call from Thibodeau, who reportedly said someone had been shot at his girlfriend’s home at 25 Elmwood St. However, he didn t provide any details.
