UPDATE: The 3-year-old who died in a crash Friday night at Route 33 South and the entrances to Interstate 78 in Lower Saucon Township was Jason Otero Jr., Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said. The boy died from multiple blunt force trauma and his death was ruled an accident, Lysek said.

The accident occurred on Route 33 South at Interstate 78, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Traffic was detoured onto Freemansburg Avenue until southbound Route 33 reopened about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.
State Police at Belfast are continuing to investigate the crash through the Troop M Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit, according to Trooper Nathan Bransoky.
Further details on the crash, including the identity of the victim or any additional injuries, were not immediately available.
