AMC says it is reopening Lehigh County movie theater shuttered amid pandemic

A shuttered South Whitehall Township movie theater is expected to change hands once again and soon be reopened by AMC Theatres.
New Vision Theatres Tilghman Square 8 in the Tilghman Square Shopping Center, 4608 Broadway, recently shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic. AMC spokesman Ryan Noonan on Tuesday told lehighvalleylive.com the worldwide cinema chain plans to reopen the theater as AMC Tilghman Square 8 soon but couldn’t provide a firm timeframe.

Lehigh Valley Health Network announces vaccine appointment openings for drive-through clinic

Lehigh Valley Health Network announced Wednesday evening it has appointments open for its mass COVID-19 vaccination drive-through clinic scheduled next week at Pocono Raceway.
Additionally, the Lehigh Valley Hospital parent announced two new clinic locations opening in April in Lehigh and Northampton counties.
The Pocono Raceway clinic in Long Pond, Monroe County, is scheduled 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, with 3,000 first doses of the Moderna vaccine expected to be administered.
The following Saturday, April 10, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., LVHN says it plans to vaccinate 4,000 people with their first dose of Moderna at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in South Whitehall Township.

Any Pennsylvanian 16 or older will be able to sign up for the coronavirus vaccine on April 19 and many essential workers will become eligible sooner, some as early as Wednesday.
The news of the state’s accelerated vaccination rollout was announced Wednesday just before the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 4,557 new COVID-19 infections and 44 more deaths, bringing the total to 1,024,857 cases and 25,093 lives lost since the virus was first detected last March.
