Tom Roohan is as well known for being a longtime philanthropist as he is for his business success. He is a veteran supporter of Catholic Charities in Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties. He was honored in the summer of 2020 by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany. The owner of Roohan Realty in Saratoga Springs, he has been instrumental in establishing Mary’s Haven, a home for the terminally ill, in the same city.

Rebecca Chhim has been promoted to director of cybersecurity for Undersea Warfare (USW) Combat System Integration for Submarines and USW Systems at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport, effective December 20.
As a senior scientist and technical manager with 20 years experience working in cybersecurity, Chhim will provide continuity of technical leadership and oversight to ensure long-term stewardship of Division Newport’s technical capabilities, focusing on Cyber Undersea Warfare Engineering Thrust.
“I’ll be shifting back to the tactical world, working with the fleet on cyber readiness, and influencing future architecture to ensure cyber resiliency, and early vulnerability testing,” Chhim said. “It’s a big and important effort to do early cyber testing to gain vulnerability insight and harden system architectures prior to fleet delivery, so it’s super exciting.
