Tragic Big Brother star Nikki Grahame was the victim of a series of NHS care failures that led to her entirely avoidable death from anorexia, those closest to the 38-year-old have claimed.
They have also revealed Nikki s desperate struggle to get treatment over the last six months, during which time she was discharged from hospital twice while severely unwell, on one occasion weighing just three and a half stone – the equivalent of a seven-year-old child.
The last time she was discharged, on Thursday April 8, she weighed less than five stone. Just 12 hours later, she was dead. If she hadn t have been discharged, I think she d still be with us today, said one friend who has been closely involved with her medical case over a number of years.
It was launched by couple Mark Woodcock and Beatriz Lopez-Ruiz, along with her brother José and sister-in-law Maria-Teresa Baiget-Marco, who said they had quickly started attracting regulars, passers-by and parents from nearby Charles Darwin Primary.

New face at Norwich market
Nigerian-born Mufu and Tola Durowoju moved to Norwich from London three years ago and launched online business Duro Food last May, selling African groceries and snacks.
From fresh yams to plantain chips, they now have their own stall on Norwich Market, joining a vibrant range of traders.

An air ambulance landed in Wymondham on Thursday morning responding to a medical emergency.

A crew from the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) was called to help an elderly patient who had suffered a medical emergency in Wymondham on Thursday morning.
The helicopter landed on a small patch of grass between Fairland Street and Avenue Road after being called out at 9.13am.
An eyewitness said it was still there more than an hour later.

An EAAA spokesperson confirmed the crew had been called out to assist the East of England Ambulance Service.

Two people were taken to hospital in serious conditions after the air ambulance responded to separate call-outs in north Suffolk.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) was scrambled on Tuesday, April 13 following reports of a medical emergency in Wrentham, with the helicopter then alerted to a medical emergency in Southwold more than an hour later.
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust and firefighters from Wrentham fire station were alerted just after 12.30pm on Tuesday, with the Anglia One air ambulance responding at 1.12pm, after a woman in her 70s suffered a medical emergency on Chapel Road, Wrentham.
