U Pay.’ meant to increase awareness about the dangers of distracted driving. The campaign, created by the Norwich Police Department in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Transportation, will run through the month of April, which is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The police department will be dedicating extra patrols, with at least one officer assigned to watching for distracted drivers throughout the city every day, according to Lt.
