The race to the weekend is half-way over..or half-way started, depending on your perspective
Merry Wednesday, everyone!
Alright, we’re half-way through the week. This week is flying by much more quickly than last week, it felt like last week lasted a month. The weather is beautiful up here this week when we’re cooped up in the office, and of course it’s supposed to get cloudy and cooler over the weekend. Oh well, that’s good camping weather. Kiddo and I plan to spend the weekend camping, we’re thinking of putting our camping gear in the boat and finding a spot way off the beaten path to camp. Only problem is, it’s dryer than a popcorn fart up here, so we won’t be starting a campfire, and I LOVE campfires, but I’ll survive. A bad day fishing or camping is still better than a good day doing anything else.

Let’s see, now which event are we waiting for?
Merry Wednesday, everyone!
We’ve reached the peak of this fun-filled week, it’s a smooth downhill coast into another beautiful weekend. The weather is supposed to be beautiful here, I foresee many hours spent on the boat on a quest for walleye, or whatever decides to bite. I’m not picky. I know some folks will eat nothing but walleye, but I’ll eat northern, muskeye, bass, catfish, anything like that, especially this time of year. Spring fish caught in that icy cold water is one of life’s true pleasures. Now, going over in a kayak in that icy cold water is not so fun, neither is losing your tackle box...and phone...and fishing pole...and 4 beers..and...

Yes, it’s draft-day-eve. Are you ready?
Merry draft-day-eve, everyone!
That’s right, the NFL draft is only another day away, plus a little change. I’m more excited this year than I’ve been for most drafts, and much more excited than I thought I’d be when last season ended. When the 2021 off-season began, the team no cap space, and they had several position groups that were depleted. It looked bleak, and I don’t think there was much optimism among the Viking fan base. The team managed to do more than most fans expected during the free agency period, and I think a lot of fans are excited to see if Rick and Company can put together a solid draft. In my opinion, the team has been putting together drafts which have improved in quality and consistency during the Spielman/Zimmer tenure, and one would expect them to contnue to improve. Let’s hope they can hit a grand slam this year, because they’re going to need to have a quality draft
