COLOMBO (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed Fourteen (14) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Wednesday (5th). The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 734, said the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (
NOCPCO).
01. The deceased is a 51 year old female resident in Hingurakgoda. She was transferred from Welikanda Special Covid Treatment Centre to the General Hospital Polonnaruwa where she died on 04.05.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as pneumonia due to Covid 19 infection.
