New York company continues to reinvent Voorhees Building
The Bill Voorhees Company Building in Pie Town is slated for a rooftop addition.
Eventually, the former industrial structure and the Downtown Nashville Antique Mall building will be joined by two residential towers.
New York-based SomeraRoad owns the property, with a main address of
620 Eighth Ave. S., and is renovating both the Voorhees and antique mall buildings. One of the planned towers, to rise 16 floors, would be sandwiched by those two older structures, while the second, a 20-floor high-rise, would sit behind Voorhees.
Nashville-based Manuel Zeitlin Architects is handling design of the addition. ESa, also locally based, and MZA worked on the master plan for the site. (Read more on that
