She shared the experience on her Instagram account. A photo shows her receiving her dose from Dr. Naji Abumrad, a close friend of Dolly s, at Nashville s Vanderbilt University Medical Centre. The caption reads, Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine. That refers to the $1 million Dolly donated to fund COVID-19 vaccine research. Her money went to the Vanderbilt team, which helped to create Moderna s vaccine. Dolly also posted a video stressing the importance of getting vaccinated. Later in the video, she re-writes the chorus of Jolene in honour of the occasion.
