[The Providence Journal / Kris Craig] PROVIDENCE Although Rhode Island, like other states, has not received all of the doses of the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines that were expected this month, “overall, we haven’t been significantly hampered” in vaccinating the highest-priority residents, Health Department Director Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott said Tuesday afternoon.

[The Providence Journal / Kris Craig] PROVIDENCE Nursing-home residents and staff in Rhode Island will begin receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 28, with the first dose expected to reach all facilities within three weeks. Administration of the second required dose will be completed in all homes by the beginning of March.
