The Miami Heat have probably been the most disappointing team so far near the half-way point of the 2020-21 NBA season and they just have not looked like the same team that fought their way to the NBA Finals last season. This year’s Miami team just does not look like they are playing with a sense of urgency and they quite honestly do not look like they care at times.
If the Heat do not turn things around quickly, they could find themselves fighting just to get into the playoffs at the end of the season! Missing the playoffs would not be a good look for this organization and if we know anything about Pat Riley, it is that he is going to do everything he can to turn this roster around into a legit championship contender it should be.

They will be a team to watch in NBA trade rumors as a result.
Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley have played their roles great over the years, one being a scorer off the bench and the other being a hard-nosed perimeter defender, but that is about all they can do. Williams is a proven scorer, not a facilitator, and Beverley is nothing more than a tough defender who can occasionally knock down three-pointers on the other end of the court.
