A 55-year-old anganwadi teacher in Mancherial district, who was recently administered COVID-19 vaccine, died in a state-run healthcare centre here, the health department said. However, her death is not related to the vaccination, a senior official said. Susheela passed away while undergoing treatment in Nizam s Institute of Medical Sciences on Saturday. She was inoculated on January 19. She was a chronic patient of High Blood Pressure and also had lung ailment. We believe her death is not due to the vaccination, Mancherial District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr M Neeraja said. Susheela was shifted to NIMS two days ago after her condition deteriorated.

The kin of VII Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan, including his grandson Najaf Ali Khan, visited the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on Friday to thank the doctors and other staff assigned to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to other frontline workers, to boost their morale.
Mr. Khan along with his daughters Noorah and Fazlika presented bouquets to NIMS doctors and staff to congratulate them for their massive efforts in advancing healthcare and making it accessible to people.

Hyderabad: Health Minister Etala Rajender today said that he will first take Corona vaccine to create confidence among people.
There is no panic of Corona or the bird flu problem in Telangana state, he said. I will take the first Corona vaccine and then others he said. We are spending Rs 7500 crore for health sector and Rs 450 crore development works in Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Panjagutta here.
On January 11 the health department and funds to be discussed in a collectors meeting to be addressed by chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said.
