Mayor’s 5K
The City of Rushville Mayor’s 5K Run/Walk will take place at 8:30 a.m. May 22. Proceeds will benefit the Rush County Booster Club.
MEDC golf outing
The Milroy Economic Development Corp. annual golf outing at Antler Pointe Golf Course in Rushville will be held at 8:30 a.m. June 19. Teams are still needed. Onslow County has received new positive cases of COVID-19 as of May 3. Positive cases now total 16,915 with 142 deaths and 16,455 cleared. Onslow County is at 6.3% positive, while the state is at 6.0% positive.
COVID-19 vaccinations in Onslow County can now be accessed online, and appointments can also be made online. The myspot.nc.gov website searches local providers by zip code and can filter by vaccine brand preference. To schedule appointment for the COVID-19 Vaccine at the Onslow County Health Department or information on the private providers. Time: Late registration begins at 8 a.m. T-shirts will be limited the day of the event; it’s best to register online. Walkers will be staggered in groups beginning at 8:30 a.m. The run will begin at 9 a.m.
Route: You’ll head out from the Rehab Center entrance, leaving the hospital campus at College Drive and heading south. The route follows College Drive to Dewar Drive, where you’ll head west. From there, you’ll head north on Gateway Boulevard until you reach Skyline Drive. Take Skyline to the employee entrance behind the hospital and finish the route back to where you started at the Rehab Center entrance.
