The move was announced on Wednesday by the Texas Department of State Health Services, and comes as new vaccines are coming onto the market. A fourth vaccine, this one made by AstraZeneca, is in review for emergency approval.
That s up 15.03% from the previous week s tally of 250,324 COVID-19 doses administered.
As of March 16, 12.48% of people living in El Paso County are fully vaccinated. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they ve been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).
