Okraku Mantey nominated as Deputy Minister for Creative Arts Designate
President Nana Addo has nominated Mark Okraku Mantey as Deputy Minister for the Tourism, Arts and Culture ministry.
Mr Okraku Mantey’s nomination was confirmed in a list of the President’s nominees for Deputy Ministerial roles released yesterday and signed by the Acting Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Mr Eugene Arhin.
The appointment of Mark, who is currently the programmes manager at Hitz FM, is subject to approval by the Appointment’s Committee of Parliament which will happen after his vetting.
The entertainment business guru, who executively produces Efiewura and also an expert in sound engineering and music production/distribution, is a known supporter of the NPP, who campaigned for the party during the 2020 elections period.

The Interim President of the Creative Arts Agency, Mr Mark Okraku Mantey has been nominated the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Mr OkrakuMantey s nomination was contained in a release signed by the Acting Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Mr Eugene Arhin.
However, like the other 38 persons who were nominated as Deputy Ministers for other portfolios, Mr Mantey appointment is subject to approval by the Appointment s Committee of Parliament.

NDC’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has told its Members of Parliament to work with unity and hold the Akufo-Addo administration accountable.
This comes after the NDC MPs have been faced with division following the approval of all of President Akufo-Addo’s ministerial nominees.
The development led to the resignation of lawmaker for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa from the Appointment Committee of Parliament.
The party held a three (3)-day retreat in Ho, in the Volta region which ended today, Sunday 18th April 2021 to discuss issues relating to the 2020 polls.
A communique issues at the end of the meeting said: “The NDC Parliamentary Caucus has been advised to work hard with a united purpose and hold the failed Akufo-Addo government accountable.”
