SEBI bars entity, nine individuals from securities market for fraudulent activities
During this period, the watchdog observed that Money Maker was actually not practicing investment advisory in the manner envisaged under the IA (Investment Adviser) norms.

NEW DELHI: Sebi has barred Money Maker Research Pvt Ltd and nine individuals from the securities market for indulging in fraudulent trading activities while providing investment advisory services.
Money Maker and its directors Chandni Paryani and Abhisekh Tiwari have been directed to cease and desist from acting as investment advisors until further orders, as per an interim order passed on Friday.
DCB Plus N Holdings and its partner Prashant Jain have settled with markets regulator Sebi a case of alleged fraudulent trading in the shares of Sunrise Asian Ltd, by paying a total amount of Rs 2.23 crore towards settlement charges. An amount of Rs 2.23 crore as the settlement amount, inclusive of the compounding charges and Rs 1.35 lakh as legal cost, has been paid by them, according to the settlement order. DCB Plus N Holdings and Jain (applicants) had filed an application with the regulator proposing to settle the matter without admitting and denying the alleged violation of PFUTP (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices) norms.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) banned CNBC Awaaz show host Hemant Ghai, his wife and mother from the capital market for alleged fraudulent trading practices.

Regulator Sebi on Wednesday barred CNBC Awaaz anchor Hemant Ghai, his wife and mother from the capital markets for indulging in fraudulent trading practices.
This is one of the few cases where Sebi has taken action against a personality associated with broadcast news for fraudulent trading practices.
Following the order, the Network18 Group has terminated Ghai with immediate effect, CNBC Awaaz tweeted.
CNBC Awaaz is the Hindi business channel of the Network18 Group.
Hemant Ghai had advance information about the recommendations to be made on the Stock 20-20 show, co-hosted by him, and he directly or indirectly used it to his advantage, Sebi said in an interim order.
