Wantable Inc., a subscription box retailer, opened a new headquarters and cafe in Walker’s Point in 2020.   The company feels “extremely proud and humbled” to be named a Top Workplace, said Tiffany Cooley, chief marketing officer for Wantable.  “It s humbling because this recognition comes after a year of extreme uncertainty and amidst a global pandemic. We re so proud because what we ve watched our teams come together to achieve is truly amazing,” Cooley said.

Columbus CEO magazine names 77 best companies to work at in 2021

Columbus CEO s ninth annual program has named 77 companies as Top Workplaces for 2021. The winners were chosen based solely on surveys of 17,433 employees conducted by Philadelphia-based Energage, a workplace research firm that runs Top Workplaces programs across the country. To be considered, companies must have at least 50 employees in central Ohio. The 2021 honorees are featured in the May issue of Columbus CEO and will be celebrated at a virtual event being planned for May. Without further ado, here are the Top Workplaces for 2021. Mortgage broker seeks class-action suit against UWM over Rocket feud

A Florida mortgage broker has filed a complaint in federal court seeking a class-action lawsuit against Pontiac-based United Wholesale Mortgage Holdings Corp. and CEO Mat Ishbia over its March ultimatum that said the lender won t work with brokers who continue to do business with crosstown rival Rocket Companies Inc. and Wisconsin-based Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. The complaint filed Friday by The Okavage Group LLC alleges millions of dollars in damages to the industry resulting from the March 15 deadline. UWM said brokers working with it and Rocket or Fairway had to sign an addendum agreeing to no longer originate mortgages through them or else pay a fine of $50,000 or more.
