CALGARY, Alberta, February 25, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) In solidarity with Alberta Pastor James Coates who is in jail for preaching to his flock amid lockdowns, another faith leader defied COVID rules restricting service sizes with a service held last Sunday, saying we “cannot comply with rules” that make “what we essentially do as a church impossible.”
“We understand the dangers of COVID-19 but we also understand the dangers of policies that seek to reduce the spread of the virus. All must admit that the lockdowns and restrictions have been damaging,” said Tim Stephens, who serves as Senior Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Calgary in a press release sent out Sunday.
Albertans born in 1946 or earlier can book COVID-19 vaccine appointments starting Wednesday
Starting Wednesday at 8 a.m. MT, Albertans born in 1946 or earlier will be able to sign up for a coronavirus vaccine appointment.
Appointments can be booked online or by calling 811. There s expected to be high demand, so the province is asking people to be patient.
The appointments will be booked at 58 sites around the province, between 8:20 a.m. and 3:40 p.m., seven days a week. Those hours will be extended as more doses arrive. More than 230,000 seniors will be eligible.
Family members are allowed to book appointments for seniors but should make sure they have photo ID or an Alberta health card.

Fairview Baptist Church, 230 78 Ave. S.E., held a pair of services Sunday that attracted numerous members as well as the attentions of city officials.

Hundreds of protesters rallied outside the Edmonton Remand Centre on Feb. 20 to show their support for pastor James Coates who remained in custody after being charged with breaking Alberta’s COVID-19 rules and refusing to comply with his bail conditions.
