Suspected arsons under investigation in Interior town

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - An arsonist is on the loose in the Fairbanks North Star Borough community of Two Rivers. Alaska State Troopers report in a dispatch that they are investigating several suspected arsons in the Pleasant Valley community. A Trooper dispatch says that over the past three weeks, multiple buildings have been burned, including the Two Rivers Community Council Building, multiple residences, and other structures. In a 24 hour period, three residences were burned, two of which were occupied at the time of the fire. There s no word of injuries in the dispatch. The Alaska State Troopers are seeking to identify an unknown male that was in the area of a structure fire Saturday morning and are looking for tips from the public on who he is.   Troopers are asking for any security camera footage that may assist in his identification.

Often they don’t understand what’s going on, it’s a really loud, surprising noise sometimes accompanied by light, and so that can just be really upsetting to animals. Or sometimes they can handle it really well at first and if it continues to go on, it can cause them stress after a certain amount of time. FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The North Star Community Foundation has opened a lottery for those who have received a COVID-19 vaccination. According to Pete Pinney, Executive Director for the North Star Community Foundation, various donors have contributed money towards an incentive program to get the Fairbanks North Star Borough Vaccinated. Pinney explained, “We have donors who would like to see more vaccinations in the community, so they have put together a pot of money to reward people who have been getting their vaccinations, and encouraging folks to, if they haven’t done it already, to go ahead and do it.
