Allison Langdon has lashed out at a Jarryd Hayne supporter who allegedly spat at his rape victim as she left court after he was jailed for five years.
Langdon slammed the spitting supporter as vile before going on to question why his victim did not receive better protection outside the court. Good riddance I say, the Today show co-host said about Hayne in Friday s segment. I don t want to talk about him this morning. I do want to talk about his victim though. What is absolutely outrageous is that once outside of court one of Hayne s supporters allegedly spat at her.
Two ex-teammates of fallen NRL star Jarryd Hayne have come under fire for writing despicable messages supporting the convicted rapist on social media.
Hayne, 33, was jailed on Thursday in the Newcastle District Court for a minimum of three years and eight months after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman in her Newcastle home in 2018.
Despite the guilty verdict, Hayne was backed publicly by ex-Parramatta Eels teammates Tony Williams and Krisnan Inu. Fn dogs, Williams posted in an extraordinary Instagram story following the highly anticipated legal outcome.
