NEWPORT NEWS, Va. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said there was no threat to public safety at Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport Thursday after someone threatened to bomb the airport.
Allison Phillips with the FBI Norfolk Field Office said members of the bureau were there along with local, state, and federal law enforcement officers.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport is getting nearly $3 million in federal funding.
Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine announced 11 airports across the commonwealth will split more than $19 million in economic relief.
CHO will see approximately $2.9 million and Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Weyers Cave will see just over $1 million.
The funding will support costs for operations, personnel, sanitization, and more.
