On today’s episode of
The Wrestling Inc. Daily, Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman sat down with Maria Kanellis-Bennett to talk about her new role as part of Ring of Honor’s Board of Directors. Hausman noted that while women are seeing more opportunities in the ring there still appears to be a lack of women in backstage positions. Kanellis gave her thoughts on that distinction.
“It does in the sense that there aren’t many of us, but they do exist,” Kanellis noted. “Madison [Rayne] was doing a great job with writing over at Impact. Gail [Kim] is the foundation of the women’s wrestling division over there. I know that Brandi [Rhodes] was starting to do a lot with Heels. There is a movement of creating more roles.
MLW Openweight Champion Hammerstone made his return to
The Wrestling Inc.
Daily recently. Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman asked Hammerstone where he sees MLW in the next few months, as many more people are getting the COVID vaccine in the U.S.
“Obviously, I have limited knowledge,” Hammerstone admitted. “I’m in the dark just as much as a lot of our fans, but I know from what I want and from a couple discussions with the office, it’s kind of been reciprocated, we really wanted to minimize how much product we’re putting out without fans because pro wrestling is very much driven by the fanbase. It’s very much not meant to just be observed. It’s meant to be an interaction.

Between his time inside the ring and behind the scenes as an executive, Al Snow’s DNA has been intertwined in the pro wrestling industry for the past few decades. While his recent work as Ohio Valley Wrestling’s owner has garnered him strong attention, Snow is arguably most known for his time heading up a certain faction, no pun intended.
Speaking with Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman on the
Wrestling Inc. Daily, Snow revealed how the concept for the JOB Squad came to him out of frustrations with the WWF locker room at the time.
