Enterprise Products to build propane dehydrogenation facility in Texas Share 22nd April 2014 Enterprise Products is to proceed with the construction of a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in Mont Belvieu, Texas, US, following the receipt of a final greenhouse gas (GHG) Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) construction permit from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The American natural gas and crude oil firm will build the propane unit, which will feature gas turbines, heaters and catalytic reactors to convert propane into propylene and hydrogen. The facility is expected to produce more than 725,747t of propylene a year. EPA regional administrator Ron Curry said: We continue to work with Texas’ businesses to take action on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
