Projects and initiatives with award-winning potential now have an extra two weeks to complete their entries for the 2021 British Construction Industry Awards.
The new deadline for entering the event, which is jointly hosted by the Institution of Civil Engineers and New Civil Engineer, is now 4 June.
“BCIA is the biggest celebration of the construction industry and getting onto the shortlist to be in with a chance to win is an excellent way to demonstrate to clients, your peers, supply chain and future employees that your firm is a leader when it comes to excellence,” said NCE editor Claire Smith. “Putting a project or initiative forward for an award is also a great way to show your teams how proud you are of their achievements, especially after the challenges the sector has faced in dealing with the pandemic. However we recognise that workloads are picking up and everyone is busy, which is why we have added an extra two weeks for people to complete their entries.”
Initiatives bringing industry step change and projects leading on delivering better outcomes have just one week left to ensure their efforts are recognised at national level by entering the 2021 British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA).
The deadline for completing entries for the awards, which is jointly hosted by the Institution of Civil Engineers and
NCE, is 21 May.
ICE President Rachel Skinner urged the industry to celebrate its achievements at the awards: “Over the past year businesses in our industry across the globe have reacted to the effects of the pandemic with pragmatism and agility. To me this demonstrates a sector that is resilient and resolute, and one that is capable of taking on any challenge and succeeding.
