KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir has been appointed as managing director of Khazanah Nasional Bhd with effect from July 16.
The sovereign wealth fund said on Tuesday he takes over from Datuk Shahril Ridzuan who will be departing to pursue his personal interests upon the expiry of his contract with Khazanah.
“The board of directors would like to welcome Amirul and is confident that with his expertise and experience, Khazanah will progress further in delivering on its mandate.
Independent directors need to be vigilant so that they receive the information needed. They need to clearly define what they need, and insist upon getting the same. The agenda papers should have a purpose and should focus on clearly bringing out the facts, issues, views and recommendations of the management.
