Gbenga Badejo Becomes 54th President of Rotary Club, Ikeja

Sola Ebiseni Rotarian Gbenga Badejo has been installed as the 54th President of Rotary Club of Ikeja. The colourful ceremony which took place recently also witnessed the induction of the new board for the Rotary 2021/2022 year as well as presentation of awards to Rotarians and non-Rotarians, including 50 years of Rotary to Chief Olusegun Osunkeye. Speaking at the ceremony which was attended by Dorothy Ufot (SAN) and Akinla of Erin Ijesha, Oba Isaac, Rotarian Badejo said he planned to continue with the club’s signature and legacy projects to achieve maximum impact in their adopted communities. By Obinna Chima The banking industry has made a dramatic leap in its Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles (NSBP) with the recent appointments of two females as Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). The coming on board of the CEOs, Mrs. Miriam Olusanya for Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) and Mrs. Yemisi Edun for First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited, marks an important paradigm shift in the approach to decision-making and management with regard to gender at the highest levels of the Nigerian banking industry. The NSBP states that as part of a wider sustainable banking commitment, the industry should work towards 40 per cent female representation at top management and boards levels.
