Residents along Tampines Street 12 heard an argument go on for five minutes before they saw a teen crashing through a walkway shelter.
An ambulance and the police were immediately called. According to an eyewitness, the injured teen could still nod as the paramedics examined him.
The police told AsiaOne he was conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital.
Photos showed a large hole in the walkway shelter from where the teen had fallen through, as well as rubble that was scattered around the area.
The teen is believed to have jumped after his girlfriend broke up with him.

In a suspected case of suicide, the principal of a school in Bangkok’s Laksi district jumped to his death from the school building.
Thungsonghong Police Station were informed about the incident at 15 minutes past midnight on Friday. At the scene they found the body of Yutthanan Srichumphu, the school’s principal, lying on the ground with a wound at his head.
Police said they found a letter on his body addressed to his family and colleagues, saying he was sorry for ending his life as he could no longer fight the depression he was suffering from.

SINGAPORE - A man sentenced to life imprisonment and three strokes of the cane in 2004 for his role in a seven-year-old girl s kidnapping the previous year killed himself on July 8 this year at Changi Prison.
Chua Ser Lien, 58, who had a history of bipolar disorder and was then serving his sentence at the prison s psychiatric housing unit, had climbed a flight of stairs from the third to the fourth storey, then climbed up internal railings, before releasing his grip.

A man was referred to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office by the Metropolitan Police Department on Thursday (Dec 18) on charges of criminal insult for allegedly posting abusive messages on social media directed at professional wrestler Hana Kimura, who committed suicide in May aged 22.
Kimura had been a cast member on the reality show Terrace House that aired on Fuji Television.
According to the police, an Osaka Prefecture resident in his 20s is suspected of posting abusive messages directed at Kimura on Twitter around mid-May, including comments, such as Hey, when will you die? and Is your life worth living?

An off-duty veteran policeman in Hong Kong was suspected to have committed suicide by shooting himself in the head after leaving a phone message to colleagues asking them to inform his wife.
The 57-year-old constable, attached to the criminal investigation unit of Cheung Chau Police Station, sent the last message to his teammates in a WhatsApp group shortly after 4.30pm, saying he was in an interview room inside the building.
In the message, he bade farewell to his colleagues and thanked them for their support. He also asked them to inform his wife and friends, according to a police source.
